IASON Final Scientific Conference

The EU IASON project had as its main aim to bring together 26 partner organisations (both EU and non-EU) in a joint cooperative effort to make hitherto inaccessible knowledge and information regarding the current state of the marine and coastal environment of the Mediterranean and Black Sea system, available both to the scientific community and the public at large.

This joint effort culminated in the drawing up of a Science Plan for the region, which was presented as a near-final draft at the Conference, where its compilation and contents formed the basis of the final discussion.
